If you have an old leather jacket it can be crafted to many accessories that too with a new look without having to throw away the apparel. Crafting old leather jackets is a difficult task and even frustrating work.  It’s a better way to transform your old items into new ones which can be useful and the wastage of items cannot be appeared.

In the earlier times leather was used for various purposes like people in middle ages drank from leather cups, carried leather armor for weapons and protection, leather whips were designed to punish prisoners and many other things.

Old Leather jackets being a versatile fabric can be designed into innumerous accessories for daily use like: – purse/pouches bookmarker, armor pieces, leather bracelets, leather curtain hems, leather napkin rings, and key chains bookmarks.

There are various designs for leather bracelets: 

1. Braided designs:
   Cut three pieces of thick leather cord equally in length to 1 ½ times the circumstances of your wrist. Fasten one end of the cords together by winding copper or silver wire on them, creating a small loop at the end of the wire coil. Braid the three pieces of leather cord until the length of your braid equals the circumference of your wrist plus 1 inch. Finish off the end of the bracelets with a wire coil. Attach one end of a clasp closure to the loop at each of the bracelet.  Experiment with complex braiding pattern using four or more lengths of leather cord.
2.  Stone designs:
   The better colors and semi precious stones are woven into the braiding process. It is inspired through the unique way of designing beautiful bracelets.
3. Simple designs:
   Simpler the better when you plan on making a leather bracelet. Cut a piece of an old leather jacket equal to the circumference of your wrist plus 2 inches. Wrap the piece of leather around your wrist and mark where you want to place one or two snaps to hold the two ends together. Use an awl to punch holes for the snaps in the overlapping end of the leather piece. Here’s your leather bracelet all ready to be flaunted and your chance to take the appreciation from one and all regarding the same.
