• Before cleaning the leather skirt fully, have a test on a non-conspicuous patch with the mild soap that you have to use for rest of the cleaning process. Dampen a clean cloth with slightly warm water, squeezing off the remaining water. Take a little amount of cleansing detergent and dab to area gently. Now rinse the cloth with water and wipe the patch down to take away any traces of detergent. Let the patch dry for four to five minutes. Do not continue the use of detergent if leather thinning or discoloration appears.
• Take a bowl filled with cool water and add few drops of mild detergent. Swish it together by hand until the water becomes sudsy.
• Now dip the cloth into the soapy water. You can use bigger cloth in case if you want to clean a larger surface on the leather shirt. Ensure you have squeezed out the surplus soapy water from the cloth.

• Vigorously rub the cloth against itself to work upon the lathers. You can start cleaning from the top section of your leather shirt, then around the collar by rubbing the cloth against the fabric. Switch to back-and-forth cleaning of cloth against the material as vigorous rubbing can weaken the texture of leather material.
• Clean the cloth under the running tap and squeeze it till the excess water is removed completely. Now simply rinse the soap out from leather with the cloth as leather is not water repellent, and washing it with too much water can tear its material.
• Allow your leather shirt to dry completely and once done, you can apply conditioner to replenish its natural shine.
