This is the basic collar style for formal shirts. Available in wide range of colors you could pick them up for any of your shirt. Tab Collar: To prevent the collar from splaying or shifting, tab collar comes with tabbed button near the Adam’s apple. For e.g. a blue shirt with white accents for collar and cuff would look more appealing with the spread collar. Buttondown Collar: Much like straight or pointed collar, this style also looks perfect with nearly all face shapes. The buttondown collar shirt got its name from the buttons used to hold the collar’s tip in place. Always make sure that the collar tips are buttoned otherwise it creates a quite messy look. You could well club them with your formal shirts accompanied with or without tie. Winged Collar: Worn with mainly tuxedos and very formal shirts, this type of collar style would give you a more sophisticated and extremely formal look. Wear them with very formal dress or for a business meet and get that right look. You could wear them up with collarless formal shirts and create a classy look for you.
